God’s Wry Sense of Humor Shows in Sleep Research

Americans are not sleeping enough. We need 8-9 hours of sleep a night. Somehow enough of the right people have been accurately surveyed by qualified researchers to reveal that we are averaging 5-7 hours. Alright, I will accept this figure as a given. That amount of sleep as a way of life is bad for us–life shortening bad. If we want to live longer we need to get more sleep. The irony is that we may gain more time, but sleep consumes the additional hours. If you’re looking to enjoy more time by increasing your hours asleep try to develop a more active dream life.

Does this strike you as funny? Something that Alanis Morissette could have added to her song “Isn’t It Ironic” in the “Jagged Little Pill” album? Maybe I am the one with the quirky and ironic sense of humor!

Enjoying your time with your eyes closed can solve the dilemma of losing extra hours you want to consciously enjoy to sleep! Anyone know a method of directed sleep?
