What’s with the expression “porn star”?

Apparently I come across as sexy or sexual

Are you a porn star?

A typical comment from a young boy when he is with his friends and no adults are present. It’s the kind of thing they say, then run, clearly not planning to stick around.

I never know if I should be offended. I’m inclined not to be offended by the recognition of something I present that makes me look like someone people would pay to watch. My question: why a porn star? What about the actresses who never made a go if it, never reached porn stardom? Why not a mere porn participant?

A porn star or a mere porn participant.

  1. Some people exude sexuality. It has almost nothing to do with looks. You don’t need to be a Zeta-Jones or a Pitt, who most notably show this smoldering, but can in fact be very plain. It’s that je ne sais quoi (I needed to google the spelling) that speaks to our primal selves that is in certain men and women. I don’t think it’s translated well in pictures but more in mannerisms, the way a look is cast, perhaps pheromones? As the earlier statement holds true… I struggle to find the words but do not struggle to have the attraction captivate me.
